Beyonce Returns To The Big Screen In New Thriller
Beyonce Knowles is set to return to the big screen as one of the stars of a new stalker thriller. The pop superstar, who won acclaim for roles in Dreamgirls and Austin Powers In Goldmember, will play the wife of a successful businessman, who becomes the target of a stalker - played by Heroes stunner Ali Larter - in Obsessed.

American Gangster star Idris Elba will play Knowles' husband in the film, which will start shooting this summer.

The singer will executive produce the thriller along with her father/manager Mathew Knowles, according to Daily Variety.

Knowles is also producing and co-starring as Etta James in upcoming biopic Cadillac Records.

Beyonce's Mother Gets Emergency Medical Treatment On Film Set
Beyonce Knowles' designer mum TINA sparked fears for her health on Tuesday night when an ambulance was called to the singer/actress' trailer on the set of Cadillac Records.

Tina Knowles had joined the "Ring The Alarm" singer on location in New Jersey when she began to experience shortness of breath due to a bout of influenza - the same symptoms suffered by a sick Janet Jackson Monday.

Paramedics arrived on the scene minutes before midnight on Tuesday and while the emergency medical technicians (EMT) refused to comment to waiting paparazzi about who they were called out to treat, TMZ.com claims Beyonce's dad Matthew confirmed it was Tina who needed attention, not his famous daughter.

Tina was checked over by the EMTs and despite high blood pressure, her condition was not thought serious enough to transport her to local hospital.

Beyoncé's Father Fires Back at Aretha Franklin

Beyoncé's Father Fires Back at Aretha Franklin
The queen is getting stung back.

Beyoncé's father/manager, Mathew Knowles, has now lashed out against Aretha Franklin in defense of his daughter over a remark she made at the Grammys.

"Something this ridiculous – it's childish, it's unprofessional," Mathew Knowles said in a statement Thursday. "And it's a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess."

Franklin – known as the Queen of Soul – was offended after Beyoncé introduced Tina Turner as "the queen" during the duo's Grammy performance.

Beyoncé and Tina Turner: Nice and Rough

Beyoncé and Tina Turner: Nice and Rough!
Ladies and gentlemen, we present you with a 68-year-old music legend, showing Beyoncé a few new ways to rock. Tina Turner brought the Grammy Awards crowd to its feet Sunday night, performing "What's Love Got to Do With It" before welcoming Beyoncé for a smoking hot duet of "Proud Mary."

(Side note: One hour after the Grammys, Turner was expected to be on a plane to Russia, where she's due to perform for President Vladimir Putin.)

Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley to Perform at Grammys

Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley to Perform at Grammys
Beyoncé will be in good company come Grammy night. PEOPLE has already confirmed that the pop star will duet with Tina Turner – and now the Recording Academy says that Alicia Keys will also perform on the Feb. 10 telecast.

Other new additions to the performing roster include: country crooner Brad Paisley, best new artist nominee Feist and the casts of "The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil" and Across The Universe, who will offer a special Beatles tribute.

While the Grammys are renowned for unusual live pairings, this year's ceremony promises several dynamic match-ups. The Academy has already announced that Rihanna will perform with reunited group the Time in a special segment to commemorate the award show's 50th anniversary. In addition, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, the Clark Sisters, Israel And New Breed, and Trin-I-Tee 5:7 will all take part in a special gospel segment.

Other previously announced Grammy performers include: Carrie Underwood and the Foo Fighters (joined by guest conductor John Paul Jones).

"In 2003, Beyonce Knowles released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number one selling 317,000 copies in its first week. It was certified Platinum just three weeks later on June 22, 2003. Its first single, the funky "Crazy in Love", was a track constructed around a propulsive riff sampled from The Chi-Lites' 1970 "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)" and featured a guest rap from Jay-Z. It rapidly became one of the biggest hits of that summer, staying at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. Dangerously in Love went to the top of the album charts in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, and the Philippines, and peaked on both the U.S. Billboard 200 and R&B charts. The album has sold over four million copies in the U.S. and over nine million copies worldwide. When her single and album simultaneously topped the main charts in both the U.S. and the UK, she became the first act to achieve this feat since Men at Work in 1983 and The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Rod Stewart in the 1960s and 1970s; she is the first and so far the only female artist to do this. Beyoncé was consequently one of the biggest-selling artists of 2003."

"During the autumn of 2002, Beyoncé was the featured vocalist on rapper Jay-Z's hit single, "'03 Bonnie & Clyde". In the spring of 2003, Beyoncé remade a duet with the late Luther Vandross, "The Closer I Get to You", originally made famous by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. In this version, the vocal parts are switched, with Vandross taking Flack's part and Knowles taking Hathaway's. The song was included on both her solo debut album and on Vandross's Dance with My Father album, and the two shared the Grammy for "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" that same year. She recently collaborated with her beau, Jay-Z, on his latest album, Kingdom Come, providing the vocals and the hook for the track entitled "Hollywood"."
